Making Fashion Jewelry For Income

Question: Work at home mom's, what do you do ?

I am a 34 Y.O nurse and mom of 2. I have worked from home, through my husbands buss. for 6 years, his buss. is downsizing and he needs some income from m e to help out. I make great money as a nurse and have been one for 13 years, but lost the desire. I so love being home with the kids. I signed up for meetmark.com, which sounds like it is going to put me in the red , we have to buy samples??!!! If I could buy 100,000 magalogs , I'd hit every house in the city. I live in a young ,fast growing area, where the median age is 31. BUT I CANNOT BUY 100,000 magalogs !!! Any work at Home moms have any other ideas? or, if u are a Meetmark rep,,how is it/ I'm not impressed so far. I love all things fashion and enrolled in fashion design/textile /merch now. This is a pipe dream, but I LOVE to b creative and sew. I also would love to design jewelry and work with a cosmetics company........but.. I'm not picky at this point, just want to make at least 1000/month , any hope?

Answer: I know alot of SAHM ( stay at home mom's ) and given that you have a more flexible schedule ( in comparison to someone who works 9--5 ) this home based selling is a great idea. ( also making your own jewelry too.. you should really look into it ) BUT I am not a big fan of avon or mark.. If you are considering selling makeup I would like into selling MARY KAY. You have the perfect market !! Not just to sell makeup but SKIN CARE.. We are at the age where anti-aging is a BIG DEAL ( I am 32 ) and the Mary Kay skin care products are amazing.. their makeup is also good .. I won't go as far as to compare them to other products because they market certain people ( moms, professionals, etc.) but I can tell you that they have good products that are easy to use.

The initial investment is not very much ( 100 + shipping and tax ) you get all the tools to get started.

you will get as much out of it as you put in so you got nothing to lose.. everything to gain

I wish you lots of luck in whatever you do ;-)

Hope this helps !

Business From Home Selling Jewelry

Question: Searching for a Job but have no CV yet?

I have worked a few years back as a Receptionist then as a sales person at an Antique Shop, as a Babysitter and making Jewelry. These two last ones are my most recent jobs (Jewelry being made at home and selling it to different people -not stores yet- and on ETSY)

How or where can I get a CV done if my last full time job was as a Babysitter/Part Time Jewelry maker?
I am bilingual, learn very fast but need recent computer training. I intend to get a Job either as a Receptionist or in Sales at a Boutique (in the future want to open my own shop and need to learn the business)

Are there any places that help you put together a CV even if you have not much recent experience? Can I get hired? and how much salary can I expect for one of these jobs? I am re-locating from Denmark.

Thanks so much

Answer: some jobs you don't need a cv for to be able to apply. they might have application forms instead.

are there any job agency places near to you, they might be able to help you to write your cv. otherwise, here's a website which might help:

Question: Where and How do i report bad business?

I recently went to a Kay Jewelers and purchased a pair of $300 earrings. Upon getting home and wearing them a little while, i noticed that not only did some of the diamonds fall off, but they were only glued on and not set in. I did not buy the insurance with them, however...gluing diamonds onto a $300 pair of earrings is not a good idea considering the wear that they get. Upon going to the jewelry store that we spend thousands of dollars at each year they told me that all they could do was send them out and send me a bill for how much it would be to repair their mistake. I took them to another jeweler who was blown away by the fact that they were glued together. He told me to report them to the better business bureau because i pretty much got screwed. How do i report this? If we would have known they were glued on we would not have bought them and could only tell that they were glued on after all of the diamonds started falling off.

Answer: yes go to the BBB and explain your situation they will put the red hot iron in kay jewelers side.
