Question: How to a start buying wholesale for my small business?
I own and operate a small furniture business that has steadily grown in volume. I am having a show independent of my former partners and I am going to need to explore some areas I am not very familiar with. I show my furniture in a "house" like it could look when the customer takes it home.
I am looking for wholesalers to buy all the small things I will need- like flowers, vases, china, pillows, bookends, napkin rings, place mats, shams and covers, throws, picture frames (small ones), candles, planters, lampshades and maybe even some jewelry. Oh yeah, and hundreds and hundreds of starfish.
Where do I start looking and how can I weed out shady wholesalers from reputable ones? I have a business number and am all set to go besides my inexperience in buying these types of things wholesale.
