Question: does anyone know what metals contain nickel?
not sure where to ask this question. Im setting up my own business selling jewellery making supplies, i know that there is a uk regulation which means i can only sell nickel free items, but i need help finding out what metals contain it (unless stated).
Could you answer the following
Does copper contain nickel?
Tibetan silver contain nickel?
any other metals that you can think of.
Answer: there's no firm rule. you simply must demand your suppliers supply nickel-free product.
Pure copper is just that. Copper containing anything else is an alloy.

Question: How to make cameo jewelry with artwork?
I'm a painter and I also love jewelry. Recently I've been interested in making cameo jewelry (necklaces, lockets etc.) with my images of my artwork on them. However I'm unsure how they are made, is there some kind of plastic that goes over the image to protect it? Does anyone know how or of any websites that tell how you can make cameo jewelry not with clay but with printed images.
Answer: A cameo in the true sense is a carving mounted on a flat base with a metal frame around it.
But recently people have started doing picture ones and calling them cameos, even though technically they are miniatures. You can mount your picture on a metal cup and put it in a cameo frame, then cover it with a clear bezel cover made just for that purpose. Or you can print your picture on plastic, or print it on paper and laminate it with plastic or decoupage medium. Some crafters are calling it "faux dichroic")

Making Christmas Beaded Jewelry

Question: Selling hemp jewelry at work and need to know about prices?
I made a necklace just for fun and now everyone at work wants a necklace, bracelet, or anklet. Plus I am going to make some for christmas and birthdays. Point being. I need to know what prices would be best. I've spent a total of 40$ all together on hemp, beads, and ect. So the first one someone bought was for 5$ but I think that's a little low. Help?
Answer: If you'd like you can take a look at the price ranges on my hemp store http://selenia.etsy.com - super simple bracelets and things like that I usually sell for $5, pricing beaded stuff really depends on the types of beads that get used on the piece. Also if you're doing something more complex then just a normal square knot you'd want to adjust the price for that too (a 16 inch alternating square knot necklace without beads, for example, starts at $20 for me because of the labor involved).
