Question: what happens if i dont charge taxes on my online-home business?
... i live in California.
i'm only sixteen, but my mom helps me run the business.
we sell handcrafted jewelry, skirts, and totebags that we handcraft at home.
do i legally have to charge taxes?
what happens if i dont?
im planning to take orders through paypal

Answer: Well, you are supposed to pay taxes to the State on the sales that you make (I'm assuming that your State charges sales tax. - if they don't then you have nothing to worry about.). If you don't charge the customer then you won't have the money to pay the State.

Question: Would like to sell on e-bay or eventually my own web site....where do you find products I can look at?
I would like to find someplace to view possible products I could sell. I am interested in mens
socks....finest quality and mid range, socks with some padding in toes and heals. I am also interested in hiking boots, costume type jewelry
such as pearl bracelets with silver, or semi precious stones. Where does one go to view these type of products? Is there a good book
easy to read comprehensive book regarding imports or manufacturing in other countries.. this is a very small business start up.
