Jewelry Making Clamps

Question: How to pierce belly button?
okay, I want to pierce my belly button, and I'm going to, I've decided. I'm doing it myself because my mom won't let me go. Should I buy a kit? it comes with a needle, a clamp, and the first jewelry does it sound good? Also how should I do it, preferably from people who have done it. P.s. I pierced my lip so I know how to handle it and if it gets real infected I'll take it out. But how should I make sure this doesn't happen and how will it look if I need to take it out. k thanks.
okay thats annoying just gimme the answer u just make me mad, I already made up my mind.
I turned 17 today
Answer: well yes buy the kit, but make sure that you get the needle that is tubular so you don't have to pull it out, then put the jewelry in. the tubular needle is a bit thicker and the jewelry slides inside the needle and then you can pull the needle out with the jewelry left in the piercing. other than that, just make sure to mark where you are going to be piercing and relax your stomach muscles, maybe have a friend help you out.

Fun Ideas For A Jewelry Party

Question: How to make a jewelry party interesting...?
I am a representative for a jewelry. I am looking for ideas to make the parties entertaining. Most women are mom's and ofen times they talk about enjoying being out, not ready to leave, etc... What are some ideas to make the parties more fun and exciting so they get the most out of their night out? It will be ok for me to do give aways, but what type of trivia or games for the guest to earn them? Any other ideas than trivia or games? All comments will be greatly appreciated!
I am asking in family/relationships section b/c I have come to learn this is where you get serious answers and the most response.
Answer: food! of course you know that food is one of the most important thing at any party. you could have door prizes. each attendant comes in and receives a tear-off ticket. one ticket they keep, the other with the matching ticket number goes in a box. at the end you'll do some (or have the guests do) drawings to pick the winners.
you should really only need one or two games. a nice ice-breaker game could be one popular at baby showers. you have a tray of items, and give each guest a pencil and piece of paper. cover the items with a cloth so the items cannot be seen. when you're ready to start the game, you'll tell your guests how many items you have on your tray, and they are to guess what the items are. you'll show them the items and allow them one minute to look before you cover the tray again. when the minute is up, times starts. they get 2 minutes to write down as many items as they can remember they saw. the person with the most correct items listed - wins! you could even pick items specifically related to the theme of your party and use other items to throw them off (it makes for a little challenge, although, then you'd probably want to allow them a little while longer to take their sneak-peeks at the tray).
then you'll eat...
then you'll make your sales presentation...
then you'll play another game...
but the object should be to sell all throught the party so remember to incorporate the jewlery theme in all activities.
good luck!
fyi - the etiquette section would treat you nicely with this question too. try it!

Ear Wires For Making Jewelry

Question: ROOMdesign, any ideas!!easy points!!!!!!!!!?
hi.
im finally after 8 yrs able to redo my room completely.
im picking orange for my room color, my fav color is blue though.
i absolutely love choppy hair, neon colors, random things, and stuff like pics of of weird stuff thats awesome and zebra stripes.
give me some ideas, and please tell me how to make a homemade mannequin W/OUT ducttape or paper mache'.
i took apart a computer moniter and all in it is the circuit board and colorful wire., im painting it really colorful and want to use it as a head on the mannequin. im then gunna make a seperate mannequin head with bunches of idk, ears and seperate arms too too put my jewelry on, so help!(:
thanks, :L
Answer: no idea how to make a mannequin but here are my bedroom ideas:
>bedside table: traditional suitcases (the square ones with handles); three on top of one another OR any other sort of box-ish objects
>curtains: pick out a fabric from your local fabric/wool sewing store and use a hot glue gun to make them (check out how-to sites like eHow.com for help with this). buy a cheap curtain rail to hang them up and drape stuff like unused necklaces from the rail. or buy them and print with fabric paint (again, eHow might have some tips). or use your creativity and think up some other ways to customise them-how about sewing together lots of pieces of fabric from treasured clothes that you dont wear any more...if you cant sew, ask your local seamstress-yes, they still exist. AND sew buttons on!
>floor: do you have a wooden floor. if so, lucky you. if not, you are going to have to co-ordinate you floor with other aspects of your room (obv). if you want a wooden floor, look up flooring contractors in the phone book or ring your local hardware store and ask about contractors that they recommend. also, look up eHow for tips on how to sand and varnish a wooden floor that's already in place under your current flooring.
>walls: you sound like the type of person who would be imaginative enough to embrace the idea of wall art! all the same, dont listen to anyone who tells you that its a good idea to paint you walls all different colours or in wild patterns. instead, go the sophisticated route and look for prints and New Yorker cartoons (thenewyorker.com, i think). also, interesting clocks are cute. stick to the one colour or create a focal point a focal point with one wall a different colour. look up some paint brochures for colour contrast ideas. for the walls, stick with the sophis. route. go wild elsewhere.
>lighting: be imaginative. try tea lights in a collection of glass jars on your windowsill OR string lights (like fairy lights except with no flower shapes around the bulb) strung around your mirror and with skeleton leaves (ask your local florist) wrapped around the bulbs with wire (gorgeous!). for the main light, be informed: do you know about shading, adjustible brightness, changeable light direction? i dont, so you're going to have to ask in a hardware store or somewhere similar. look for a nice shade. a good tip that i read somewhere is to use different sources of light instead of one bright light source.
>bedding: if you plan to sew stuff onto your curtains (like buttons), it would be a cute idea to do the same with your bedding. however, dont go too matchy-matchy. you dont want it to end up looking like a catalogue picture! ![]()
>furniture: change the handles and sand and paint your furniture to update it. again, ask a hardware store sales assistant for advice on sanding/varnishing furniture. on your dressing table, change the mirror by getting a glass specialist to cut the mirror into a different shape and try getting it framed. you could try this with any mirrors, actually.
inspiration: check out interior stores (especially ikea!!!!!) for inspiration and interiors blogs (especially mochatini.org-this is a BRILLIANT blog!). have fun and you cant go wrong!
